Towson University’s Office of Civic Engagement and Leadership is will be hosting the Maryland State of Politics panel on Wednesday, April 26 at 7 p.m. The event will take place at University Union in Chesapeake Rooms One and Two. The panel is free and open to the public.
Panelists for the event include:
- Catherine Pugh, Mayor of Baltimore
- Stephen Lafferty, Maryland State Delegate
- Tony Campbell, Towson University Faculty member
- John Bullock, Baltimore City Councilman
- Matt McDaniel, Attorney
The panel will focus on politics in the state of Maryland, and will ask questions such as:
- What are some difficulties that both are facing?
- What has the political climate become in the wake of Trump’s election?
- What are some ways students can stay informed on both the state and national levels?
- What are some lessons that the panelists have learned in working with people you don’t agree with?
- How can students get more involved?
Along with participating in a moderated discussion, panelists will also participate in a Q & A session.
