Survey facilities will be located in lot 21 from March 18 to May 13; the campus is invited to tour on April 5 from 9 – 11:30 a.m.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is placing four trailers in lot 21 at Towson University to serve as the Baltimore County headquarters for the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
Baltimore County is one of 15 U.S. counties randomly selected to participate in this year’s survey. NHANES researchers will visit a sampling of households within the county to conduct health interviews. Some of the interviewees will be invited for follow-up health exams in the CDC facilities at TU. The temporary trailers will be on campus from March 18 to May 13. Participation is voluntary and by invitation only.
NHANES researchers are hosting an open house at the temporary CDC facilities from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 5. The campus community is invited to stop by for tours and additional information.
