Did you know that roughly one third of the campus’s greenhouse gas total is made up of commuting emissions? Ditch your car and reduce your carbon footprint on September 22 by biking to campus! Not only does biking improve your health, but it also saves you money and helps to sustain TU’s beautiful environment. Make sure to stop by Freedom Square between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. tomorrow for free snacks, giveaways and literature on bike safety.
Worried about where to park your bike?
Multiple bike racks are located throughout campus. Always make sure you secure your bike to the racks, and cover your bike seat at locations without coverage if the forecast shows signs of rain.
Have a flat tire?
A bike maintenance station is available outside of the University Union at the exit closest to the school store.
Always be aware of your surroundings when biking on and off campus, and make sure to stay on bike routes when possible. For more tips on bike safety and other bike-related resources visit: http://bikeleague.org/ridesmart
