Dr. Alex Storrs, Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geosciences, will present a planetarium show titled, “ Proxima B and other Earths”. The recent discovery of an Earth sized planet orbiting the nearest star that we know of has caused quite a lot of excitement and speculation in the scientific community. Please join us as we review what we know, what we think we know, and what it might mean to the future of the human race.
One show starting promptly at 8pm, on Friday, 9/16 in SM 521. Telescope viewing afterward, weather permitting.
