A message on behalf of the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics.

We are heartbroken to share that our friend and colleague, Mark David Scarinzi, from the Department of Physics, Astronomy & Geosciences (PAGs), passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016. As the long-serving operations manager in PAGs, Mark served a succession of students, staff, faculty and department chairs with friendliness, good humor, and exceptional competence and accuracy. He was a true professional who exhibited a strong work ethic and who always placed others before himself.

Mark’s family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives, 2325 York Road in Timonium, Maryland on Sunday, July 24, 2016, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service begins at 7 p.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that Mark be remembered with memorial contributions to the Mark David Scarinzi Memorial Fund c/o Towson University Foundation, P.O. Box 17165, Baltimore MD 21297-0219.
