Students, faculty and staff members are strongly encouraged to register their handicap placard or license plates with Parking & Transportation Services. Registering a hangtag or license plate can be used to notify Parking staff that the vehicle is registered to a driver who possesses the valid credentials to park in handicap restricted spaces. If the plate/placard is registered, and the driver inadvertently fails to hang the placard, it will help limit the possibility of receiving a citation or having the vehicle towed.
To register your Handicap placard/plate, go to: http://www.towson.edu/parking/forms/handicapreg.html Please remember, the authorized user of the handicap placard must be with the vehicle. State law prohibits the use of a handicapped permit/placard by anyone other than the registered user.
Parking & Transportation Services is committed to helping ensure handicapped spaces are available for those who need the access. As such we routinely monitor the use of handicapped spaces. If you suspect someone is abusing the use of handicapped permits/placards, please contact our office so we can properly follow up.
For additional information, please visit the Parking and Transportation website at: www.towson.edu/parking or phone the office at 410-704-PARK.
