Save the Date for the 2016 January Conference

The Division of Academic Affairs will host its annual January Conference for all faculty on January 13, 2016 in the Chesapeake Rooms of the University Union. The guest speaker for the conference will be Dr. Carol Christ the Director of the Center for Studies in Higher Education (CSHE) at the University of California, Berkeley.

The theme for the 2016 January Conference is Re-envisioning the Core for Student Success.

This conference aims to initiate a campus-wide conversation and the sharing of information and ideas regarding the impact of the Core Curriculum on student success. More specifically, sessions will focus on themes related to engaging students to become lifelong learners through increasing interdisciplinary opportunities, making connections between the core and majors. The content of conversations throughout the day will help generate momentum for taking steps to re-envision the Core Curriculum.
