Opportunity to Tutor Basic Math

America Counts Is:

  • A Tutoring Program
  • Of BASIC Math
  • To Middle School Students
  • In Their Schools In Baltimore City and County

Volunteer for this Tutoring Experience

You Choose Your Own Hours and Site from 6 Choices

The hours you can choose from start at 8:00 a.m. and go throughout the school day and after school hours. There is also a site which is part of the Department of Juvenile Services which has day and evening hours.

You can tutor as little as one hour a week or up to 20 hours. You decide, but you must tutor the same time each week since the little kids depend on you. Tutoring is for the entire semester.

Travel is in your own car or in carpools which will be arranged at orientation. Some sites are on bus routes.

If you have Federal Work Study as part of a financial aid package you can get paid.
