Expectations for OLC Workshops: Most OLC workshops are weeklong, asynchronous, and facilitated. You don’t need to be at your computer at a specific time, but there are deadlines throughout the week for various assignments. OLC staff describes workshop expectations this way, “For all of our workshops, we suggest that participants devote at least one hour each day to read materials, post to the forums, and complete graded assignments. Therefore, I would suggest seven to ten hours per workshop. To receive an Award of Completion, participants must complete the graded assignments by the due date set.” Occasionally, OLC will offer half-day workshops in a synchronous format.
The Office of Academic Innovation and the Office of Technology Services co-sponsor Towson’s membership to the Online Learning Consortium.
