For the past four holiday seasons, the Towson University Police Department has worked with St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore to collect new or gently used blankets or sheets for the homeless. St. Vincent de Paul is a leading provider of community services to people suffering from the effects of hunger, homelessness and poverty in Baltimore. This year, we are teaming up with the University Store to collect BLANKETS and COATS.
St. Vincent de Paul will accept any size gently used blanket, sheet, and coats for their Beans and Bread shelter. However, they especially need new twin size blankets or sheets for Sarah’s Hope, their 24-hour emergency shelter and provider of other support services for homeless women and children.
Let’s give back. Can you imagine what a blanket, sheet, or coat could do for people or families who are literally out in the cold?
You can donate items at the University Union room 200F, or the University Store. Look for boxes marked “BLANKET and COAT DRIVE”. We will collect the blankets and coats November 20- December 19, 2014.

The TUPD and University Store wants to wish a safe and happy holidays to all!
