Central Park 5: Race and Wrongful Conviction

The Central Park Five is a landmark case from 1989 in which 5 African-American and Latino males age 14 – 16 were tried and convicted for the murder of a white woman jogging in New York.  After being tried and serving their full sentences, their convictions were overturned in 2002 when a convicted rapist and murderer confessed to the crime.

Join the CSD and Towson as we welcome 2 of the 5 wrongfully-convicted men for a panel discussion and Q&A session about race, wrongful conviction, and exoneration. Join the discussion at 6:30pm in UU Potomac Lounge!
