How to protect yourself from phishing scams – October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month

Phishing is a cybercrime targeting your email. A cybercriminal poses as a legitimate institution to try and trick you into giving out your secure information including bank information, credit card details and passwords.

Have you received a suspicious email lately? Be aware that if you receive potential phishing emails, you should forward them to phishing@towson.edu. OTS will take it from there.
