PDF Accessibility

Do you create documents for the web? Did you know that these documents need to be 508 compliant? Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires that federal agencies electronic and information technology be accessible to people with disabilities.

OTS Training offers workshops that teach you how to create accessible pdf documents. You will learn how to make a Word document pdf accessible by adding things like alt-tags, styles and header rows in tables. You will then learn how to convert those documents into a pdf and run the compliance checker.

Upcoming workshop dates are:

Thursday, September 18, 2014 9:30 to 1:30 a.m. Cook 404A
Thursday, October 30, 2014 10:00 a.m. to noon Cook 404A
