Towson’s Student Support Network (SSN) is a six-week training program that will give you the skills to know how to be helpful to friends in crisis. We discuss mental and emotional health, warning signs of a friend who’s struggling, and how to talk about difficult issues. You will also be equipped with resources to address these issues and develop strategies for how to connect them with your friends in need. You can read more about SSN at http://www.towson.edu/psychology/studentsupport.asp and apply on our website at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Y9S5TV2. While students can apply directly on this website, Faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate students by emailing studentsupportnetwork@towson.edu with students’ names and contact information.
All meetings will at CLA 3105 on Tuesday’s from 3:30-4:30pm. Orientation is on October 21st and Training sessions being October 28th and end December 2nd. For more information please contact our staff at (401)704-3063 or studentsupportnetwork@towson.edu.
