Campus Web Browser Issues and Solutions

The web is forever and quickly changing. Because of this, there is an impact to browsers which can effect Towson University systems. A browser may be defined as a piece of software that allows you to visit web pages or to use web applications (ex: Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari)

You may at times experience a Towson University web system is not working properly. Understandably, you may think “something’s wrong with my computer” or “there are problems with the application I am using”; however, this may not be the case. When a webpage does not completely load or loads incorrectly, you should navigate to the same webpage using a different browser – often the webpage will then operate properly. (Various browsers are available for download at Towson University using the Software Center.)

Recommended browsers for a few of TU systems are:
Blackboard Learn – Chrome;
Outlook.towson.edu – Internet Explorer;
Students.towson.edu – Chrome;
PeopleSoft – Chrome but also works well in Internet Explorer.
