Associate Professor of History, Dr. Karen Oslund, focuses on the environmental history of Scandinavia and the global Arctic. Author of Iceland Imagined: Nature Culture and Storytelling in the North Atlantic, Dr. Oslund will address the way that Icelanders continue to see themselves as “non European” and provide contemporary examples to show Iceland’s connections and affinity with the global south today.
