Play a Sound across Multiple Slides in PowerPoint 2013

To add value to your PowerPoint presentation, you may wish to add sound. Keep in mind, however, sound should never distract the audience from the message of your presentation – only enhance the content.

1. Go to the slide where you want your sound to begin playing in your slideshow (usually the first slide).
2. Click the Insert tab on the ribbon.
3. Click the Audio down arrow in the Media group. A drop-down list will appear.
4. Select Audio on My PC from the list.
5. Maneuver to the appropriate drive and directory and select your sound file.
6. Now click the sound icon to display the Audio Tools contextual tab on the ribbon.
7. Click on this tab and click the arrow beside Start in the Audio Options group. From the drop down list, choose Automatically.
8. Click the Play Across Slides check box.
