Handicap Permit Registration

As a reminder, students, faculty and staff members are encouraged to register their handicap placard/license plates with Parking and Transportation Services.  To register, please complete and submit the online Handicap Placard/License Plate Registration form and provide the required documentation.

When parking in a handicap space you are required to display your handicap placard. Registering a handicap hangtag/license plate lets enforcement officers know that the vehicle is registered to a driver who has valid authorization to park in handicap restricted spaces. In the event a driver fails to hang the placard as required, enforcement officers will know not to cite or tow the vehicle. As a reminder, handicapped permits/plates may only be used by the individual who was assigned the handicapped permit/plate through the Motor Vehicle Administration.  The individual to whom the permit/plate is registered to, MUST be in the vehicle when it is parked in a handicapped space.

Please remember, a handicapped placard/license plate allows individuals to park in designated handicap parking spaces; however, it does not provide free parking. A valid parking permit is required to park on campus Monday – Thursday, from 6 a.m .- 8 p.m. and Friday, from 6 a.m. – 3 p.m.

For additional information, please visit the Parking & Transportation Services website or call the office at 410-704-PARK.
