As a reminder, Parking Services uses the latest License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to verify if parkers have the appropriate parking permits while parked on TU’s campus. All vehicles using TU parking facilities must display a valid visitor permit or be registered with Parking & Transportation Services and have a valid parking permit.
*Please note that if your vehicle is already registered to your parking account, no further action is required for the upcoming academic year. You may check to see what vehicles are registered to your parking account by logging into your eParking account.
There are two easy ways to register your vehicle:
1. Online by logging into your eParking account. Click Manage My Parking Account and enter yourTU NetID and password to log in. Next, click Manage Your Vehicles, which will allow you to add a vehicle to your parking account.
Or
2. Complete and submit the online Add Vehicle Form.
Important Parking Information
- Permit holders are not permitted to register another student, faculty, or staff member’s vehicle on their parking account.
- Vehicles added to your account will be checked to ensure they are not registered to another campus community member. If records indicate the vehicle is not registered to you or a family member with the same last name at the same address, including rentals, you will be asked to complete a Vehicle Exception Request Form.
- Individuals need to register each vehicle driven to campus, including car rentals. Exception request for rental or borrowed vehicles must also include the beginning and end date when the vehicle will be used on campus and linked to your parking permit.
- Citations associated to a vehicle added to your parking account will be the responsibility of the account holder.
- Permits cannot be shared, including if vehicles are on campus at different times. If multiple family members are associated with the University, each family member must obtain his or her own permit. A vehicle may NOT be registered to multiple parking accounts. Those in violation are subject to a $300 fine each, other sanctions, and towing at owner’s expense for sharing a permit.
*For those interested in the Carpool Program, more information can be found at our website.
- To remove a vehicle that did not have an end date and is not registered to you through the MVA, you must fill out and submit a Vehicle End Relationship Form. You may not end the relationship for vehicle license plate registered to you through the MVA.
