Towson University’s Albert S. Cook Library has been awarded a $12,700 grant to participate in The Big Read, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts designed to revitalize the role of reading in American culture by exposing citizens to great works of literature and encouraging them to read for pleasure and enrichment.
In Spring 2015 Cook Library will host a number of programs related to A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin, a young-adult fantasy novel that focuses on how understanding the nature of things, not possessing power over them, is the ultimate goal of magic.
