When the Towson women’s lacrosse team leaves campus tomorrow (Thursday, May 8) to head to New York for its appearance in the NCAA Tournament, all fans are invited to give them a proper send-off. The Tigers, who will face Stony Brook in the first round of the tournament this Friday, May 9, will be leaving campus Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
The send-off celebration will begin at 8:00 a.m. in lot 19 behind the Unitas Stadium Field House.
Fans are encouraged to make signs and show their Tiger spirit to wish the three-time Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) champions best of luck in their NCAA tournament appearance.
Tiger fans coming from off-campus are encouraged to park in Towson Center lots or Lot 13 and use the Park and Display stations.
This event will occur rain or shine.
Towson defeated Hofstra and James Madison this past weekend to win an unprecedented third consecutive CAA title and earn the automatic berth in the NCAA tournament. The winner of Friday’s Towson-Stony Brook clash will face Syracuse this Sunday, May 11 at Syracuse.
