OTS is in the process of implementing a new, improved method for accessing the majority of campus web-based applications. Currently, you must authenticate with your NetID each time you access a campus web application that requires a log in. The new single sign-on capabilities that are being implemented will allow you to log in to one application, then be automatically logged into other web applications as they are accessed throughout the day. This will minimize the number of times you must log in throughout the day.
In addition to the benefits mentioned above, this change significantly decreases the risks associated with outsiders attempting to hack into Towson web applications.
The changes will be phased in over the next couple months. The most important thing to be aware of is that you should continue to use your browser to access applications as you always have, but be aware that the login page will have an updated look. The new login page will appear as follows:
