As we prepare for the end of the spring 2014 semester, there will be increased pedestrian traffic near and around the residence halls as students move out. Please abide by the guidelines below for Spring Move Out:
- During Spring Move Out, designated “Move-out” spaces will be located near each residence hall.
- Vehicles may only be parked in “Move-out” spaces for a maximum of 30 minutes. A permit is not required while parked in a “Move-out” space. However, once vehicles are loaded, vehicles must be moved to a legal commuter, overflow, or resident space based on the individual’s parking permit type.
- Due to the volume of students in the West Village area, staff will be on site May 16-20th from 10 am to 7 pm, to allow students access to the walkway, for up to 30 minutes to load. Please arrange to have your belonging brought out prior to accessing the walkway to load. If Parking & Transportation staff is not on site, students MUST park in the West Village garage and use available move-out spaces or other legal spaces in the garage.
- All vehicles must be parked in a legal space.
- At no time may any vehicle be parked in fire lanes, in a roadway, on sidewalks, on grass, or otherwise reserved space, even for a few minutes.
- Only vehicles displaying state issued handicapped license plates or permits may be parked in handicapped spaces.
- If you do not have a valid parking permit, you must either purchase a student permit online at https://auxt2ebizvm.towson.edu/t2/cmn/index.aspx or purchase a “Visitor” permit from a pay station for the timeframe your vehicle will not be parked in designated “Move-Out” parking spaces.
For the safety of our campus community, illegally parked vehicles may be cited and towed at the owner’s expense. For additional information and shuttle schedule, please visit the Parking & Transportation Services’ website at http://www.towson.edu/adminfinance/auxservices/parking/shuttle/index.asp or phone the office at 410-704-PARK.
