Join the Towson University community and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in the Out of the Darkness: Campus Walk. The walk aims to raise funds for suicide prevention research, as well as educational programs that increase awareness about suicide and mental illness. Suicide claims the lives of over 1,100 college students each year in the United States and is the second leading cause of death among college students. Be a part of the effort to save lives by walking across the Towson University campus. Walk to support the cause or to honor loved ones who have been affected by mental illness or suicide. The walk will take place on Sunday, April 27 from 6–8 p.m. Check-in will begin at 5 p.m. at the Health and Counseling Centers at Ward & West.
