RBR255_Display_300dpiHolocaust Remembrance Day White Gloves Session
Monday, April 28, 2014 at noon to 1:00 p.m.
College of Liberal Arts, Outside the Reading Room (CLA4200)

University Archivist & Digital Collections Librarian Nadia Nasr and Jewish Studies Librarian Elaine Mael will conduct a White Gloves Session whereby they take the Jewish Cultural Reconstruction books from the library’s collection (these are books that were seized by the Nazis during World War II and then redistributed to Jewish cultural institutions such as Baltimore Hebrew University after the war) out into the community.

During this session, Ms. Nasr and Ms. Mael will give a brief overview of the collection’s history, discuss the significance of some related photographs, and give participants the opportunity to don a pair of white archival gloves so they can more closely examine the books for themselves and ask questions.
