Caregiver Training Offered at Towson University

A study on the needs of informal caregivers and the impacts of a caregiver training program on quality of life is being undertaken by students and faculty in the Department of Occupational Therapy & Occupational Science at Towson University.

Participants will be part of a free 4-week hands-on training program held at the Institute of Well-Being in the Towson City Center building. Each of the 4 sessions will be held on Wednesday afternoons, beginning April 9th and ending April 30th. Participants must be able to communicate in English and must be age 18 or older. Data collected during the training will be kept confidential. Each participant will be provided with free caregiver resources at the conclusion of the training program. This study has been approved by the Towson University Institutional Review Board. Interested students, faculty, and staff may contact Dr. Sonia Lawson at slawson@towson.edu for more information or go to the Institute for Well-Being website towsoniwb.com to sign up.
