CRS is currently undergoing extensive renovations to enhance some of the academic and recreational facilities that function out of Burdick Hall.
Beginning in April 2014, a significant renovation is scheduled for both the men’s and women’s locker rooms, doors and fire sprinkler systems in the pool, and various administrative spaces that will affect programmatic functions related to your participation in these areas. The scheduled renovations will greatly improve the function and aesthetics of these spaces, and we are positive that you will be in favor of the intended outcomes. During this time, the fitness center and gymnasiums will remain open, however, the pool and both locker rooms will temporarily close effective March 30, 2014 and remain closed until renovations are completed in August 2014.
During this time, the main entrance to Burdick Hall will reopen. This entrance will serve as the primary entrance for use of the fitness center and gymnasiums. The South entrance located by the fitness center will remain open, but access to the gymnasiums will be blocked from this location. Although locker rooms will no longer be available during this time, newly renovated restrooms will be available in the lobby of the main entrance. As always, OneCards will be needed for access to all facilities and programs.
Additionally, all locker rentals will be suspended beginning March 30, 2014. If you currently have a locker in Burdick Hall, please make sure you remove all of your belongings on or before this date. Items left in the lockers will be stored for 30 days after which they will be disposed of. Locker rentals will resume in August 2014 after renovations are complete.
Again, thank you for being a valued user of CRS programs and facilities. We hope that we can continue to serve you in meeting your recreational needs and look forward to having you as a participant in the years ahead. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the CRS main office at 410-704-2367 or email at campusrec@towson.edu.
