The next Mathematics Colloquium will take place on Thursday February 20, at 4 p.m. in YR 102, with refreshments served before the talk at 3:30 p.m.
The speaker will be Ellen Mangels, Mathematics Department Chair of Cockeysville Middle School, a Baltimore County Public School. Her talk is entitled “Carnegie: How Baltimore County Public Schools are using the Carnegie textbook to teach Common Core Math Standards in grades 6, 7, 8 and Algebra 1.”
