Towson University is proud to continue our tradition of the Stuff-A-Bus campaign to assist local families this holiday season. Members of the TU Community can support this initiative by bringing in a toy for the Marine Corps’ Toys-for-Tots program or a non-perishable food item for the Maryland Food Bank.
The goal of the Toys-for-Tots program is to deliver a new toy during the holiday season, along with a message of hope to less fortunate children. This gesture which will assist children in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. Toys should be new and in their original packaging.
The Maryland Food Bank serves more than 600 food providers statewide, including emergency shelters, food pantries, after-school programs, senior centers, soup kitchens, and other feeding programs.
Donation boxes have been placed at various locations across campus. Boxes are covered in holiday gift wrap and are easy to locate! Or you can visit the bus on Osler Drive in front of the Enrollment Services building Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to drop off your donations with our wonderful volunteers. All boxes will be collected on Thursday, December 12.
We will have a holiday decorating party on Wednesday, December 4, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m. we will have a lighting ceremony with holiday music and free hot chocolate!
