Every year, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) brings together survivors of suicide loss in locations around the world to feel a sense of community, to promote healing, and to connect with others who have had similar experiences.
Join us for International Survivors of Suicide Day on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from noon – 3 p.m. in the Liberal Arts building, room 4310. This is FREE event hosted by Towson University’s Counseling Center and Active Minds.

*This year, join us for a special screening of OUR NEED FOR CONSOLATION about Swedish writer STIG DAGERMAN, who died by suicide. Stig Dagerman was a young literary sensation who within a few years published novels, short stories, plays, poetry and journalism. Then he fell silent.
Featuring actor Stellan Skarsgard, Our Need For Consolation-a film by Dan Levy Dagerman-brings Stig Dagerman’s powerful words to life in the form of a visual poem.
