The Department of Physics, Astronomy & Geosciences invites all to attend the Fall 2013 Seminar, “Attracting Students to Physics or How I Became a Teacher ” by Oleksiy Svitelskiy, Ph.D., Physics Visiting Professor at Colgate University.
Based on his own experiences, Oleksiy will show how a person with a research background can become a successful teacher in a liberal arts school, how students can get attracted to this person and how the school can benefit from hiring such people.
