Celebrate Campus Sustainability Day Today!

Campuses across the nation are celebrating Campus Sustainability Day today, October 23, 2013! It is a time to recognize the successes, challenges, and innovation of sustainability in higher education on each campus and we have a full day of activities planned here at Towson University:
 

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Bike Powered Smoothies – UU Susquehanna Patio – Enjoy Wheely Good Smoothies! Make your own fruit smoothie with pedal power!

Noon – 1 p.m. Campus Sustainability Forum – UU 314 – Join our panelists as we discuss sustainability initiatives in various departments, and contribute your ideas for how we can improve. Light refreshments provided!

Noon – 2 p.m. Sustainability Fair – UU 2nd Floor Lobby – Check out the “green” groups on campus and in the community.

Noon – 2 p.m. Recycling Rush – Freedom Square – Greek Life will compete to see who can recycle the most! Learn what can and cannot be recycled on campus, and support our fraternities and sororities!

5 – 7 p.m. “Adapt-to-Survive” Costume Party – UU Paws Lawn – Students-4-Sustainability is hosting a costume party with games, painting crafts, and snacks.

6:30-7:30 p.m. Economics of Sustainability – Stephens Hall 115 – The Economics Society will present on economics topics as they relate to sustainability.
