TU in the News: Do Internships Make a Difference?

Career Center Associate Director and Internship Program Coordinator Glenda Henkel was interviewed  for a series of articles in Patch.com. The impetus for the series, Getting Your Foot in the Door: How Internships, Paid or Unpaid, Can Make A Difference, was sparked by a national debate over the issue of pay for interns. Local college students, including TU’s Kelly Wright, a student assistant in the Career Center and an intern at AOL, was also featured. Henkel is quoted in two segments of the series,  Interns Who Make Headlines—Not Coffee, and 4 Questions to Ask Before Taking an Unpaid Internship.
