Announcing TU Community Dance’s fall 2013 Alexander Technique classes, beginning Tuesday, October 15! The Alexander Technique is a practical wellness method for identifying and reducing tension habits that interfere with natural and efficient movement.
This practice teaches individuals how to work on their own to release unnecessary tension as they move through daily activities such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, driving, and working at a computer. Recent studies cite the value of AT study for relief from back pain. People also study the technique for improved posture, prevention of injuries, and enhanced breathing and vocal use. Classes will be taught by Temple Crocker, TU faculty in the department of theatre arts and a certified teacher of Alexander Technique. One five-week sessions will be offered:
- October 15-November 12
The session will cost $75.
