Parking &Transportation Notice – Fall Semester Start-Up / End of Summer Parking

Parking
Regular semester parking enforcement begins Monday, August 19 at 6 a.m. Please ensure you only park in areas where your permit is valid.

As a reminder, a valid TU permit is required to park on campus Monday through Thursday 6 a.m.– 8 p.m. and Friday 6 a.m.– 3 p.m. Resident lots are restricted at all times.
Current permits expire on August 31, 2013
New permits for the Fall 2013/Spring 2014 academic year will be valid effective August 19, 2013
Faculty/Staff will need to return to parking in designated F/S parking areas during normal enforcement hours.
Only “Commuter” permits will be valid in designated commuter spaces on core campus prior to 3 p.m.
“Resident” permits must park in designated resident spaces on campus or Overflow lots prior to 3 p.m.  (Note:  West Village Resident permits are not valid in the West Village Overflow areas prior to 3 p.m.)
All current Towson University permits are valid in the majority of the Towson Center lots and designated levels of the West Village garage.  Please look for signs in Overflow areas that indicate “All permits are valid.”

Posted signs take priority over printed information or information on the web site.

Shuttle Service – All Routes
The TU shuttles will resume campus operations as outlined below:

Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 at 2 p.m.
-Tiger route will operate from 2 p.m.- 10 p.m.
-Safe Ride from 10:00 p.m.- 6 a.m.

Monday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 27
-Gold Route will operate from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
-Safe Ride from 10:00 p.m.- 6 p.m.

Wednesday, August 28
– Regular on and off campus shuttle operations will begin.

Bike Racks on all Shuttle Routes
All TU shuttles operating on fixed on and off campus routes are equipped with bike racks. You can go green if you do not live at an off campus shuttle stop. Ride your bike to the closest stop and utilize one of our bike rack-equipped shuttles to get to campus.
