The third year of Anthropology by the Wire, a National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates project at Towson University headed by anthropologists Matthew Durington and Sam Collins has just started!
You can follow this innovative media anthropology research project at www.anthropologybythewire.com and through twitter @anthrobythewire.
Community college students recruited from the surrounding region will undergo a 6-week method and media technology ‘boot camp’ while creating collaborative media with Baltimore City residents.
The focus of the 2013 iteration of the research project is to document the effects of deindustrialization and the employment dilemmas of individuals formerly employed by Bethlehem Steel/RG Steel at Sparrow’s Point.
