To promote seatbelt awareness and enhance the safety of the campus community, the Towson University Police Department will conduct seatbelt checkpoints in mid-May.
The checkpoints will be held on Monday May 13, 2013. It will be repeated Wednesday May 15, 2013. Police officers will check seatbelts usage by the occupants of all vehicles entering those checkpoints. Officers may issue citations for any violations observed during this process.
All motor vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot and garages should be alert and obey the traffic commands given by police officers at these checkpoints.
