Towson English Students Win Leidy Foundation Award

Towson students in an undergraduate course, ENGL 417 Civic and Non-profit Writing, taught by Professor Zosha Stuckey, worked in Fall 2012 to develop grant proposals in collaboration with  nonprofit groups in need of financial support.

One such proposal to the Leidy Foundation has produced an award to a community partner in the amount of $5,000.

Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park will use the funds for their Universally Designed Playground Project.

Professor Stuckey hopes to build a long-term grant-writing tradition with students that can have significant impact for many community projects..
