English Ivy Removal in Glen Woods, Free Food Included!

English Ivy is a dangerous invasive plant, even more so because many people use it as ground cover not knowing it is invasive. Unless kept under tight control, English Ivy can encompass and kill entire trees and even ruin building foundations.

For the next three Fridays ( 4/19,  4/26 and 5/3) from noon -3 p.m. We’ll be saving trees in the Glen by removing the ivy around their bases, consequently killing the ivy on the rest of the tree.

We’ll be meeting at the Glen entrance stairs across from the greenhouses (behind the science building) at noon, but feel free to come at any time; you’ll be sure to find someone at work who can show you the ropes! Tools, gloves, and instructions will be provided.

Please join us in our work to save the trees in the Glen and enjoy some free food at the same time!
