Recyclemania Week 5 Results

During the week of March 3 -9, Towson recycled 40,740 pounds or 20% of its waste. This puts us in 207th place out of 250 schools. In the Residence Hall competition, Newell Hall recycled the most with 5.1 pounds per student, followed by Prettyman with 0.76 pounds per student. The residence hall with the most recycling per student at the end of the competition gets a cash prize equivalent to the number of students in that building! To see data on all weeks and all residence halls, go to TU’s Recyclemania page. To see Recyclemania results from all schools, go to the Recyclemania website. Towson’s single stream recycling system accepts all paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and containers, aluminum and steel cans in the blue indoor recycling bins or the green outdoor ones.
