During the week of 2/24 – 3/1, Towson recycled 21,060 pounds or 24.2% of its waste. That’s 7% more than last week! This puts us in 206th place out of 250 schools. In the Residence Hall competition, Newell Hall did the best out of the Residence Halls by recycling 4.7 pounds per student. The residence hall with the most recycling per student at the end of the competition gets a cash prize equivalent to the number of students in that building! To see data on all weeks and all residence halls, go to TU’s Recyclemania page. To see Recyclemania results from all schools, go to the Recyclemania website. Towson’s single stream recycling system accepts all paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and containers, aluminum and steel cans in the blue indoor recycling bins or the green outdoor ones.
