Sultry in the City: A Baltimore Perspective on Summer Heat and Climate Change

Dr. Kent Barnes, Professor in the Geography & Environmental Planning Department at Towson University will present his sabbatical lecture on Friday, February 8, 2013 in the Liberal Arts room 3310 from 3 – 4pm.

Dr. Barnes has analyzed over 100 years of climatic data for the metro area and focused on the changing probabilities of hot and extremely hot days in and around the city and its implications.
