TUSC would like to congratulate the staff listed below for winning the Top Tiger Award for October, November & December!
October
Ria Zimmerman, Financial Services
Nominated by: Jen Spera, College of Health Professions
“As a new employee to Towson, I can always count on Ria to answer any queries regarding Business Travel quickly and in a pleasant manner. She is willing to take any extra steps to make sure that I understand the policies and procedures of the Financial Services Department so I can process all paperwork correctly and efficiently.”
JR Rathjens, Campus Recreation Services
Nominated by: Jason Hess & Tia Freiburger, Campus Recreation Services
“I am nominating JR for a Top Tiger Award because of his outstanding work as a professional. He inspires those around him to be the best that they can be, and has helped shape our department into a great place to work for professionals and students alike.” –Jason Hess
“I started at Towson in January of 2012. JR is my counterpart for the department and has been instrumental in making me feel welcome, explaining to me the intricacies of the University, and assisting me with my job functions whenever I am in need. There have been several times where my day or week has not gone as planned. JR has left me several hand-written notes on my desk or chair reminding me to keep me head up and gave words of appreciation and recognition that helped me get through the day. Not only that, but JR’s positivity and outstanding personality make him a joy to work with. On his day off, during move-in he came to Burdick and gave facility tours to incoming freshman and their families. He is a delight to work with and I am happy every day that he is here.” –Tia Freiburger
