New York Times Talk Lunch

Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the monthly New York Times Talk Lunches. Join the roundtable discussions of current events published in recent newspaper articles, and enjoy pizza for lunch. Sessions are typically facilitated by a faculty member. Topics have ranged from health care reform to gay marriage, immigration and climate change. Attendees are asked to participate, have an open mind and be respectful of others’ opinions. The New York Times Talk Lunches are designed to promote civic skills such as critical thinking, persuasion and reasoned argument as well as civilized and respectful debate.
