Funding Opportunity For Overseas Study

Boren Awards Information Session

Come hear about the Boren Awards for study abroad! An information session will take place on Wednesday, October 13 at 4:00 p.m. in the University Union room 305.

Boren Awards provide a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East). Boren Scholarships provide up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study less commonly taught languages. Boren Fellowships allow graduate students to add an important international and language component to their graduate studies with up to $30,000 in funding.

Additional information on preferred geographic regions, languages, and fields of study, as well as application procedures can be found at {www.borenawards.org}.

During the session participants will receive information about the program as well as tips on submitting a competitive application.

The Towson campus application deadline is December 15, 2010 for study in 2011-2012.
