The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will bring together thousands of people from around the world who are bereaved after the loss of a loved one by suicide to share in a day of healing and support through the thirteenth annual International Survivors of Suicide Day (ISOS) program.
The Counseling Center and the local AFSP chapter are offering a free local International Survivors of Suicide Day conference on Saturday November 19th in Room 238 of Lecture Hall. At the program, two speakers will help address the common questions that many suicide survivors face: Why did this happen? How can I cope? Where can I find support? There will also be a national broadcast with panelists and moderators. Finally, experts will be on site to provide the most up-to-date information on suicide and grief. Below is the basic program of the ISOS conference:
12:00 ? 12:30PM: Registration
12:30 ? 1:00PM: Local speaker from the Baltimore National Alliance on Mental Illness
