The Towson University Police Department will be offering a Rape, Aggression, Defense (RAD) course for female students.
RAD is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. The RAD system begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. RAD also teaches hands-on defense training. RAD is dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics.
The course will be held on Monday evenings beginning on October 4, 2004 and continuing on Monday evenings for the next four consecutive weeks. The classes will be held at the Administration Building from 6:00-9:00 pm.
The course is open to all female students and is available at no cost. Register early, as class size is limited.
