The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is pleased to announce enhancements to our website. Since our focus is employee service, the website has been expanded to allow for easier access to a variety of our forms and instructions for our processes, which are based on the University System of Maryland Board of Regents? policies that govern Towson University.
The new ?contacts? chart ensures that you quickly reach the appropriate individual to assist you in the areas of Employer/Employee Relations; Employment, Classification and Compensation; Benefits/ Staff Development and Training; and Timekeeping, Leave and HRIS (the PeopleSoft employee data base).

Employer/Employee Relations ? The Separation Form
Please note that the Separation Form can be found on the Employer/Employee page. This is the form used to notify the OHR of the separation of any contingent or regular employee, and should be received at least one week prior or sooner, if possible, to the employee’s last day on payroll to prevent overpayment against your departmental budget. Separation checklists are provided to guide employees and supervisors through the separation process.
Employment, Classification and Compensation
The Employment, Classification and Compensation unit has included the USM job classification specifications, the Exempt and Non-exempt salary schedule, the Towson University job application, and the listing of all vacancies on campus.
Benefits, Staff Development and Training
We have added a variety of Benefits related forms and other information including Benefits Summaries with embedded links for regular and contingent staff, full and part time faculty and Training and Development Schedules, registration forms and instructions. A direct link to the State Retirement and Pension System Handbook provides a wealth of information.
Timekeeping, Leave and HRIS
Specific federal or state laws and/or USM policies regarding leave types and usage, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Significant Date card are found on the Time, Leave and Attendance pages.
We trust the forms, information and guidance provided via these enhancements will promote a clearer understanding of our processes and help you on a daily basis.
