Towson Academy of Scholars Seminars, Spring 2008

Two Towson Academy of Scholars Fellows for academic year 2007-08 will present their papers this month. The campus community is invited to attend both seminars; each will take place in the Towson Room, Cook Library.

Dr. Michael Higgins, Department of Kinesiology, will speak on “Effect of Lacrosse Equipment on Cervical Spinal Cord Space During Immobilization” on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 3:30 pm. Dr. Ryan Tierney of Temple University will serve as his discussant.

Dr. John LaPolla, Department of Biological Sciences, will speak on Monday, April 21 at 3:30 pm. His topic is “Taxonomic Revision of the Ant Genus in the Malagasy and Afrotropical Regions.” His discussants are Drs. Sean Brady and Ted Schultz, both of the Department of Entomology at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.
