The History Honor Society and the History Department present “The Mid-West Goes to War: the 32nd Division in World War One,” a slide-illustrated talk by John Barry. The 32nd Division was a National Guard unit, drawn from Wisconsin and Michigan, which served on the Mexican border in 1916 and in France during the First World War; it earned its reputation as one of the best divisions of the U.S. Army. John Barry earned his Masters in Social Science from Towson University in 2003. His masters thesis was a history of the 32nd Division; it will be published as a book next year. This event will be held on March 28 at 3:30 in Linthicum 208. It is open to the public. Light refreshments.
